A client needed a working demonstrator to show prospective investors. Together, we defined which functions it needed to demonstrate, explained the engineering difficulty and dependencies, and agreed what could wait until the next stage.

Working alongside the industrial design partner, we defined the electronic architecture and drew the circuit schematics. We developed the prototype firmware and assembled the hardware into a working demonstrator, using a practical initial approach to keep development time and expenditure down.

We quoted under 60 hours of development work for this focused prototype. A more developed design ready for design validation would have required a substantially larger scope. By concentrating on what the client needed to demonstrate now, we kept the initial commitment manageable and left further development for the next stage.

The prototype gave the client something tangible to demonstrate. It was built for that purpose: its size, unit cost and performance would need further development for production, and the final technical approach remained open.

A client had a design and a tight deadline for receiving physical product samples. Before sampling, we worked with the design team and supplier to clarify moulding feasibility, parting lines and demoulding details.

We coordinated rapid tooling, sample production and delivery through our established supplier network. The client received the product samples in 2.5 weeks. Alongside the samples, we also provided production pricing and explained the cost assumptions and risks so the client could consider the next stage.

A client needed to move an existing product to a new manufacturing arrangement. Its appearance had to remain consistent, but the original circuit schematics and firmware source code were unavailable.

We worked with the client to reconstruct the functional requirements and turn incomplete documentation into specifications the engineering partner could implement. Alongside new tooling, we coordinated redevelopment of the electronics and firmware around those requirements.

The product returned to production and has now been manufactured for nearly three years, at volumes of tens of thousands of units annually.

A sample exceeded the radiated-emissions limit during EMC testing. We worked with the electronics partner to trace the source to the relevant circuitry and review changes, including damping resistors and snubber circuits.

Alongside the circuit changes, we actively checked for available gaps in the laboratory's schedule and coordinated the revised sample's readiness with those openings. In this case, the sample went from an initial test failure to passing the retest within two days.
